PREP TENNIS: CHS women top Hartselle 8-1 on the road

HARTSELLE, Ala. — After starting last season with an 8-1 loss to Hartselle, the Bearcats bounced back with an 8-1 win over the Tigers Tuesday night. Cullman put together an impressive performance in the first doubles match, winning the first set in a tie break and overcoming a 1-5 start in the second set to win the match 7-6 (7), 7-5. With the win, Cullman’s varsity girls improve to 8-1 on the season.

Sadie Land, Lanie Townson, Savanna Privett, Maddie Files, Sidonie Desnoes, Olivia Dover, Kassie Privett and Karina Harris all had wins in exhibition singles matches as well.
