Funeral services for Elbert Lee Overton, 84, of Fairview, Alabama, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021 at the Cornerstone Revival Center. The interment will follow at Etha Baptist Cemetery. Pastor Jeremy Wilbanks and Bishop Greg Wilbanks will officiate the service.

Mr. Overton was born June 26, 1936 to Bernice Harmless and Rachel B. Kimbril Overton. He passed from this life Feb. 14, 2021 at his residence in Fairview.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 57 years, Geneva Hyatt Overton; son Rickey Overton; grandson Matthew Brazeel; great-granddaughter Mattie Walsh; brother Wilford Overton; and sister Imagene Brummet.
Mr. Overton is survived by his son Johnny Lee Overton, Sr.; daughters Sissy (Randy) Ash, Katherin Hampton, and Sonya (Jody) Roberts; brother Windell Overton; sister Mary (Lester) Loyd; grandchildren Shane (Rachel) Golden, David “Bubba”(Angela) Brazeel, J.L. (Maira) Hampton, Amber (Raynard) Coats, Jevin Hampton, Richard (Miranda) Overton, C.J. (Jessie) Perry, Johnny (Shannon) Overton, Jr., Joseph Overton, Sarah Beth Overton, Jarred Overton, Jessica (Robert) Brantley, Kayla Walsh, Adam Roberts, James (Abbi) Roberts, and Samantha Roberts; and a host of great-grandchildren, family, and friends.
