It is with great sadness that the family of Brenda Kay Dodson Middleton announces her slipping from these earthly bonds to Heavenly perfection Feb. 11, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Mama Brenda, as her family will forever remember her, was born In Birmingham, AL Jan. 8, 1955 to the late John and Tresia Dodson. Mama Brenda had a huge heart and always put her family first. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and sister. She worked meticulously at everything she put her hands to, and she loved Jesus first of all!
She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Jerry Middleton of Garden City; son Daniel Allen Jones of Lexington, KY; sisters Therise (John) Cates of Bangor, Phyllis (Mark) Quick of Bangor, and Nina (Bob) Detweiler of Cleveland, TN; brothers Mitch (Margie) Dodson of Bangor and David (Tammy) Dodson of Cleveland, TN; nine nephews and nieces; and 17 great-nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb.14 at Hanceville Funeral Home. Jacob Detweiler officiating. Burial will follow at Bangor Cemetery. Her family will receive friends beginning at noon at the funeral home. Masks are required.
