CULLMAN, Ala. – Saint Bernard Preparatory School eighth-grader Carter Daily won the Cullman County Spelling Bee Monday night.
The winning word? “Sibilant”
Daily is something of a word whiz around Cullman County. He won the inaugural Cullman County Fair Spelling Bee in 2018. He also won the 2019 Cullman County Spelling Bee and reached the third round of the 92nd Scripps National Spelling Bee that year.
Daily is the son of Dr. Josiah and Shannon Daily of Fairview.
Coming in second place Monday night was James Crabb, a sixth-grader from Sacred Heart, while Jackson Dossey, a fifth-grader from East Elementary finished third.
