The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim as Patrick Edward Burkhart, 58, of Falkville.

FALKVILLE, Ala. – Morgan County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) investigators arrested Richard Odell Clark, 42, of Falkville in connection with a deadly shooting Friday.
As of press time, the identity of the victim had not been released pending notification of family.
According to the MCSO, at approximately 1:30 p.m. a call about a shooting was received by Morgan County 911 from a residence along the 1200 block of Highway 55 East between Falkville and Eva.
Deputies and investigators responded and secured the scene, where one deceased male was located, and Clark was detained.
Clark is charged with murder and is being held at the Morgan County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
