A graveside service for Dorothy Mae Ballenger will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2 at Cold Springs Cemetery in Bremen. Reverends Richard Bailey and Brain Calvert will be officiating.
Mrs. Ballenger was born May 31, 1946 to Clarence and Freda (Lair) Harris in Hammond, Indiana and died Dec. 24, 2020 at the age of 74 at her residence in Bremen.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Bobby “Ray” Ballenger; daughter Laurie (Bobby) Wilkerson; son Alan (Tonya) Ballenger; grandchildren Kyle (Kellie) Mays, Sarah (Nick) Bates, Meagan (Preston) Calvert, Jessica Wilkerson, Destiny Ballenger, Mallory Ballenger, Logan Ballenger, Jamie Ballenger, and Andrew Ballenger; five great-grandchildren and one on the way; and special friend Harold Busby.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ballenger was preceded in death by her brother; beloved son Michael Ray Ballenger; and precious cousin Clara Gentry.
