Funeral services for Linda Jean Thompson, 74, of Hanceville will be at noon Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-noon at the funeral home.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Thompson passed away Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Nov. 2, 1946 to Asa Martin and Ruby Jewel Gardner Smith. She worked at Burns Florist for years. She was a lovely person and wanted to take care of everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and six brothers.
Survivors include her husband Arville “Shorty” Thompson; one son Timothy ‘Tim” (Bridgett) Freeman; step-sons Ricky Thompson, Ronnie (Janet) Thompson, Jim (Kelly) Thompson, and Shane Thompson; step-daughter Robbie (Jeff)Thomson; grandchildren Zac (Savanna) Freeman, Cassie Freeman, and Justin Nichols; step-grandchildren; great-grandchild Danny Freeman; two step-great-great-grandchildren; two sisters Mary Ann Schwaiger of Cullman and Alice Jewel (Morris) Linton of Waycross, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
