CULLMAN, Ala. – According to the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH), Cullman County added 59 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, with 3,485 cases confirmed across the county since the beginning of the pandemic. Of those, 873 were confirmed in just the last 14 days. Statewide, the ADPH reported 2,766 new confirmed cases in the last 24 hours, with 35,031 in the last 14 days.
The ADPH also reported a record high number of daily hospitalizations for the third day in a row. It reported 1,827 patients currently hospitalized across the state, the most since it reported 1,801 on Dec. 2, 1,785 on Dec. 1 and 1,717 on Nov. 30. The previous record high was and 1,613 on Aug. 6.
