Funeral services for J C Helms, 81, of Garden City will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020 in the chapel of Hanceville Funeral Home. Brother Vernon Alvis will officiate with burial following at the Garden City Cemetery.
J C was the son of the late Julius and Irene Dempsey Helms and was retired from the upholstery business.
His family includes his wife Sharon; children and step-children Tammy Gooch, Tracy (Earle) Ginn, Rachel Ray, and Daryl (Betsy) McAvoy; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are brothers Shirley, Fred, and Julius Helms.
