The family of Evelyn Jean Lackey announces her passing Friday, Nov. 20, 2020 at the age of 91. She was born Feb. 20, 1929 to Earston Earl and Velma Eidson Sparks.
Mrs. Lackey was a longtime, faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren who lovingly called her “Meow.” She dressed many women in Cullman for over 40 years as owner and operator of Jen-Ann Dress Shoppe, located in the Cullman Shopping Center.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Paul Lackey; her parents; son Mitchell Lackey; and brothers Jimmy Sparks and Bill Sparks.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Paulette (Riley) Trimble and Donna (Jerry) Hendrix; grandchildren Jamie Oliver, Riley Trimble III, Eli (Sabrina) Trimble and Sara McClendon; great-grandchildren Austin Oliver, Keaton Oliver, Josie Oliver, Taylor Trimble, Walker Trimble, Ayden Trimble, Bentley McClendon and Logan McClendon; sister Judy Roberson; nephew Daryl (Beki) Moon; and great-niece and nephews Cele, Phoebe, and Ian Moon.
Graveside services will be held at East Point Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Palmer officiating. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, masks are required and social distancing will be practiced.

The family expresses a deep gratitude to the staff of The Folsom Center for the loving care given to our mother for the past four years.
