Mrs. Mary Frances Varner, 76, passed away peacefully Nov. 18, 2020 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.
Mary Frances (Fran) was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida Jan. 28, 1944 to Jack and Mary LaBoone.
She was preceded in death by her two parents and is survived by her husband of 55 years, Stephen Varner of Cullman; daughter VictoriaRogus Stewart and son-in-law Robert Stewart of Cullman; two
granddaughters Taylor Shutt, married by Brandon Shutt, and Haley Rogus of Cullman; two great -grandchildren Brooklyn Shutt and Bennett Shutt of Cullman; one brother and sister-in-law Michael and
Peggy Laboone and their daughters, Kathryn and Madeline of Charleston, SC; and many other close family and friends.
Fran was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an active participant in her community and a member of the Cullman Elks Lodge.
She loved to bowl, dance, and spend quality time with family. Fran was a shining light to all who had the pleasure of knowing her; to be around her was nothing short of joyful. Always full of energy, Fran was a person people turned to for laughs and comfort. She was known as a social butterfly, never meeting a stranger and being the best at making people smile.
She leaves her family and friends behind with an unforgettable impression of love upon their hearts. May her beautiful soul rest in peace.
A memorial service will be held in her honor Wednesday, Nov. 25 at Moss Service Funeral Home at 11 a.m., with a burial service to follow. Visitation is Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
