Lavon Arvis Boyett, 78, of Sardis, Mississippi passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020. Lavon was born Dec. 5, 1941 in Tutwiler, Mississippi.
Lavon is survived by daughter Deborah (Jerry) Wages; sons Edward Lavon Boyett and Raborn (Rachel) Mayo; sister Patricia McNeer; mother of his children Yvonne Thornburg; grandchildren Katie (Greg) Cofield, Ashley (Dallas) Traylor, Megan (Jonathon) Rutledge, Walt (Melanie) Wages, Chase (Tina) Boyett, Cheyenne (Micah Crawford) Mayo, Caleb Boyett, and Hannah Boyett; great-grandchildren Ben, Emily, Noah Cofield, Cannon, Huntley Traylor, and McKenzie, Sawyer, Paisley Boyett; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Lavon was preceded in death by his parents Arvis and Martha Boyett; sisters Hilda Betts, Faye Crawford, and Sharon Betts; and brothers J.D. Boyett and Billy Wayne Boyett.
There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at his home in Sardis, Mississippi to be announced later.
