BREMEN, Ala. –  In the season finale for the Cold Springs Eagles and the last regular season game for the visiting Vinemont Eagles, Vinemont came away with a 31-7 victory Friday night.

Vinemont forced a punt and went on a lengthy drive that resulted in a 22-yard touchdown from Colby Miller to Toby Hill late in the first quarter. After forcing another punt, Vinemont once again moved the ball on the ground, this time resulting in a 10-yard touchdown by Brodie Curvin to put Vinemont up 14-0 with 6:09 remaining until halftime.

After forcing a three and out, Vinemont continued to pound it out on the ground; this time Curvin ran it in from 7 yards out to give Vinemont a 21-0 halftime lead.

Vinemont received the second half kick-off, and once again the ground game was clicking. Miller scampered in from 13 yards out, stretching the visiting Eagles’ lead to 28-0 midway through the third.

Nacho Salgado extended Vinemont’s lead to 31-0 late in the third on a 37-yard field goal.

Near the end of the game, Cold Springs’ Ayden Alexander put the home Eagles on the board, and the final score was 31-7.

Vinemont ends its regular season 7-3 and will play at Plainview in the first round of the AHSAA State Playoffs next Friday.
