CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Animal Shelter has love to spare this week, so Donna Ruttkay shares a bonus Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week:

Grady is a Terrier mix who’s a little over a year old, who arrived at the shelter neglected and hungry, but now he’s happy, healthy and ready to go! He’s just out of his puppy days, but still has that youngster spirit, a lively medium- to high-energy pet who’s developing his social skills and seems eager to please his humans. If you like quirky, this may be your new best friend: when Grady gets really excited, his teeth chatter!

Grady has the makings of a good therapy, companion or hiking dog.

Grady’s adoption fee is $100 which includes DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccines, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet, neutering, microchip, free 30-day health insurance policy issued by 24PetWatch (with valid email only) and a free bag of food from Cullman Pet Depot (you must pay sales tax).

Animal shelter staff and volunteers work with their dogs to make sure they are accustomed to being around people, walking on a leash and practicing good behavior. Several of the shelter’s canine friends have even been “hired” to work as therapy and special needs service dogs.

Please consider adopting, to give a rescued pet a chance at a happy and healthy life.

Contact the Cullman County Animal Shelter at 256-734-5448 or cullmancountyanimalshelter@gmail.com. Visit the shelter at 935 Convent Road NE.
