Ronald Lonzo Hill, 73, of Double Springs passed away Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020 at his residence in Double Springs.
He was born in Double Springs, Alabama Sept. 9, 1947 to Benjamin and Hazel Hill. Ronald was an avid reader of western and military novels. He had a great sense of humor and was always joking around. He was a truck driver for Wal-Mart and served for four years in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1970.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Ronald is survived by his wife Teresa Hill; children Kellye (Chris) Avery, Kim McCoy and Josh Wiley; sister Linda (Randy) Moody; brother Lennith (Shelia) Hill; nieces Kristie Moon and Mattie Barringer; nephew Billy Hill; great-niece Hallie Hill; grandchildren Hannah Holloway, Bridgette Avery, Landon Avery, Blake McCoy, and Mary Wiley; great-grandchild Xander Dyer; sister-in-law Cindy Barringer; many fellow Wal-Mart truckers who became special friends; a host of cousins and special cousin Robert “Pug” Hill; and four-legged friend Scooter.
He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin Jason Hill and Hazel Webb Hill; brother Kenneth Hill; in-laws Charles and Dot Pierce; and brothers-in-law Bill Barringer and Frank Robinson.
