CULLMAN, Ala. – One person was killed and three people injured in a five-vehicle crash along Interstate 65 in Cullman County Friday morning.
Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick confirmed the fatality, identifying the victim as Kristin Hudson Cohn, 32, of LaGrange, Georgia.
Cohn was killed when the 2004 Mazda MVP in which she was a passenger was struck by a 2008 GMC Yukon. The crash occurred when the Mazda struck a vehicle in the southbound lane before crossing the median where it was struck by the Yukon. Cohn, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of both vehicles and one juvenile passenger were injured. The drivers were transported by ambulance to UAB Hospital. The juvenile was transported by ambulance to Children’s of Alabama. The occupants of the other involved vehicles were not injured.
The crash happened at approximately 10 a.m. near mile marker 316.
Nothing further is available as ALEA Troopers continue to investigate.
