A memorial graveside service will be Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Valley Springs Cemetery for Janet Marie Woods, 61, of Cullman, who passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2020 at her residence. Bro. Dudley Brock will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Moss Service Funeral Home.
Janet dedicated her life to fitness and helping others achieve their personal fitness goals. She was the owner of Jan’s Fitness for 36 years and assisted her clients as a personal trainer for over 20 years. Her clients were like family to her, and she selflessly made herself available to them at all times. She found joy in seeing them accomplish their goals. Jan’s Fitness was honored to be named The Cullman Times “Best Professional Weight Loss Center” multiple times over the years. When she wasn’t at her fitness center, she was riding in her convertible, feeling the wind in her face, or relaxing at her home on the lake.
She loved her family more than anything, especially her only granddaughter, Lily. She will be greatly missed by all.
Preceding her in death was her father Ellie “Ellis” C. Johnson.
Survivors include her son Adam (Christine) Woods of Gainesville, FL.; granddaughter Lily Woods; mother and stepfather Patricia and Frank Collins of Vinemont, AL; and brothers Terry Paul Johnson of Kenedy, TX and Byron (Carolyn) Johnson of Blountsville, AL.
