Graveside services for Richard Howell Carpenter, 67, of Falkville, AL will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, 2020 at Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery, Holly Pond, AL. The Reverend Steton Hayes will officiate.

Mr. Carpenter passed away Oct. 6, 2020 at the Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept. 27, 1953 to Herbert Lyon and Jessica Dunseith Howell Carpenter.
He was an engineer with Engelhard/BASF for more than 40 years. He loved his farm and his workshop. He loved woodworking, especially when he could build something to solve problems. He loved being on his tractor; Heaven help you if you mentioned that you needed a ditch, he might dig something more resembling the Grand Canyon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Herbert Carpenter III; and his sister Alaina Isola.
Mr. Carpenter in survived by his wife of 46 years, Phyllis Stewart Carpenter; his son Joshua Stewart Carpenter; and a host of extended family and friends.
