Martha Jo Sinyard McMurry, 86, of Huntsville passed from life to the eternal on Monday. “Meemee” was born Feb. 12, 1934 to Weaver and Rossie Sinyard of Crane Hill, AL. She was the youngest of five, her sisters being Ezell McCormick, Betty Sinyard, Kathleen Bailey, and Mary Speegle Helms.
Martha has been a faithful member of Lincoln Church of Christ since 1962. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and inherited her wit and ability to tell funny stories from her father.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters; and her husband CJ McMurry.
Survivors include daughter Connie Burns (John); grandchildren Melissa Royster (Scott), Caty Stokes (Ben), Tyler Burns (Jennifer), and Molly Kirchoff (Brett); and nine great-grandchildren, Peyton, Savannah, Bo, Nate, Kendall, Elle, Kate, Kade, and Vivien.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 9-10 a.m. at Lincoln Church of Christ, 1307 Meridian St., Huntsville, AL 35801. The funeral service will immediately follow with Ron Williams and Dr. Scott Royster officiating. A graveside will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Prospect Church Cemetery in Logan, AL.
