HOLLY POND, Ala. – The J.B. Pennington Tigers traveled to Holly Pond Friday night, and the Tigers came into Bronco stadium looking for their fourth win of the season. They weren’t disappointed, as they walked away with a 56-8 win.

The scoring started early after Holly Pond fumbled the opening kickoff at its own 20 and the ball was recovered by the Tigers’ John Williams. Quarterback Hayden Floyd found Jaxon Timmerman, who had a big night receiving for the Tigers, open for his first touchdown pass of the night.

The J.B. Pennington defense shut down Holly Pond, not allowing the Broncos a first down in the first half. Their only first down came in the fourth on a Tiger penalty.  Tiger Parris Malone also returned a Bronco fumble for a defensive touchdown in the second quarter.

On defense, Holly Pond’s Gunner Creel picked off a Floyd pass in the second quarter, stopping a Tiger drive. He also recovered a Tiger fumble in the fourth.

Floyd had a great night passing for the Tigers, connecting with four different receivers for touchdowns.

Holly Pond brought the crowd to life in the third quarter with a 77-yard touchdown run by Austin Marsh. The two-point conversion by Gavin Phillips was good.

The Tigers took home their fourth win, and the Broncos fall to 0-3.

Next week the Broncos travel to Carbon Hill for another area game.
