SCOTTSBORO, Ala. – Arab hit the road for an important regional matchup Friday night and dropped a tight, low-scoring game to the Scottsboro Wildcats 7-3.
Scottsboro found the end zone and got on the board in the opening quarter to take a 7-0 lead, but the Knights were able to muster a response. A field goal allowed Arab to cut into the lead and make it a 7-3 game in the second quarter but that was all the Knights were able to chip away before halftime.
Points were at an even higher premium in the second half than they were in the first. Neither team was able to get on the scoreboard again and the Wildcats managed to fend off the Knights 7-3 to collect their first win of the season.
The loss drops Arab to 1-3 on the year, but the Knights will be back home next week to take on Southside Gadsden.
