Wendell “Wink” Alexander, 69, of Double Springs, Alabama went to be with his Lord Monday, Sept. 7, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Wink was born Aug. 1, 1951 in Birmingham, Alabama.
He was a graduate of Winston County High School, the Class of 1969, in Double Springs, Alabama. After high school, he began a lifelong career as a truck driver, but he has always been a cowboy at heart. He had a love for horseback riding and motorcycle riding. He was a good friend to all who knew him and a loving husband and father. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church #2 in Double Springs, Alabama. There was nothing he loved more than his family except for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His battle here is over but victory is won.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020 from 6-9 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 11 from 1-2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church #2 in Double Springs. The funeral service will be Friday, Sept. 11, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church #2. Brother Jeffrey Wiggins and Brother Kirk Cagle will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Wink is survived by his wife Doris Alexander; sons Kevin Alexander and his wife, Rachel and Garrick Beck and his wife, Kristy; daughters Amber Brocato and her husband, Dustin, Aimee Beck, Shea Williams and her husband, Chad and Deanna Myrick and her husband, Matt; grandchildren Kelcie McCollum and her husband, Daniel, Hollie Wilkerson and her husband, Fischer, Jayla Alexander, Tucker Beck, Jaxson Williams and Ella Williams; sisters Dale Humphries and her husband, Wendell and Lottie Humphries and her husband, Quinton; and special sisters, friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents C.W. “Doc” Alexander and Agnes “Polly” Jones Alexander.
