With the same courage and dignity that he lived his life, Glen E. Miller passed away Sunday, Aug. 29, 2020 at his home. His earthly life of 84 years began Sept.  9, 1935, in Nederland, TX. His life was characterized by a strong dedication to the Lord, his family, friends, and other loved ones.

Glen served our country for over 30 years before retiring from the Air Force. After retiring, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the art of cooking. Glen was an avid cook and credited his mother with helping teach him the art of cooking.

Glen and his wife, Reba, were members of the Guntersville First United Methodist Church. He was very active in his church with helping others and being a faithful servant. He was active in the Kairos Prison Ministry, the Emmaus Walks, Cedar Lodge Rehab, and Meals on Wheels. He always enjoyed and looked forward to Thanksgiving and feeding the homeless and homebound.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence Otis Miller and Ollie Mae Hartman; daughter Glenda M. Sandlin; son-in-law Anthony Sandlin; and brother Larry Miller.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Reba D. Miller; grandson Michael Sandlin of Glasgow, KY; grandson Justin Martin of Glasgow, KY; step-son Lawayne (Christi) Allred of Cullman, AL; step-grandson Chris Allred of Gulf Shores, AL; step-granddaughter Jessica Allred of Gardendale, AL; step-grandson John Conner Allred of Cullman, AL; sister Jeannette (Dennis) Lucas of Colorado; niece Debra (Dennis) Harrington of Lafayette, LA; niece Delaine Sweat; niece Cheryl Springer; nephew Anthony (Patricia) Miller; and a host of friends who all mourn his passing.
