CULLMAN, Ala. – Donna Ruttkay reports the Cullman County Animal Shelter has a lot of love to go around, so she shares a bonus Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week:
Bud is a 3-year-old rat terrier mix who was surrendered by an owner who could no longer care for him. He’s a laid-back, low- to medium-energy pup who’s accustomed to pet life. He’s skilled on his leash, has wonderful manners, appears to be house trained and has even been neutered. If you need a ready-to-go canine companion, this one will be hard to beat!
Staffers feel Buddy has the makings of an excellent therapy or companion dog.
Discount doggie!
Since Buddy has already been neutered, his adoption fee will be greatly reduced. Contact the shelter for details.
Animal shelter staff and volunteers work with their dogs to make sure they are accustomed to being around people, walking on a leash and practicing good behavior. Several of the shelter’s canine friends have even been “hired” to work as therapy and special needs service dogs.
Please consider adopting, to give a rescued pet a chance at a happy and healthy life.
