Jamey Dewayne Morgan, 39, of Addison entered into rest Monday, Aug. 10, 2020 in Arley.
Jamey was born Nov. 13, 1980 in Jasper, Alabama. He attended Addison High School in the Class of 1999. Jamey enjoyed fishing and hunting and taking people on fishing and hunting trips with him. He loved life and laughing. He always had a big smile on his face and he’d sure put one on yours as well. His favorite three words were, “Don’t be stupid.” For several years, Jamey coached girls’ softball and through that, he touched many girls’ lives. Of all the things he enjoyed and loved, he loved his girls and his family most of all.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020 from 5-8 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be held Thursday at noon. Brother Mike Turner will officiate. Burial will follow in Trussell Family Cemetery in Arley.
Jamey is survived by fiance’ Amanda McDonald; his children MaKenzie LeAnn Morgan, Hannah Grace Morgan and Railyn Piper Morgan; step-daughter Caitlin Nicole McDonald; father Rickey Morgan; mother Marilyn Thompson; brothers Jeremy Burnett and Shawn Morgan; sisters Jalane McGee and her husband Josh, Jana Burnett and Rebecca Morgan; nephews Braxton and Shaden Morgan, Braden and Caden Burnett, Skyler Smith, Jayden McGee and Joshua Gardner; nieces Krystlyn Aycock and Shalane Hanson; grandparents Allene and Joe Bard; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Max and Ruby Morgan and Wash Trussell.
