COLONY, Ala. – Colony Mayor Donnis Leeth on Tuesday evening said, “I resign” after he adjourned a contentious meeting of the Colony Town Council.
The mayor’s statement came after a series of heated exchanges between himself, Councilman Curtis Johnson, who is challenging Leeth in the Aug. 25 Municipal Election, and the Town’s election officers.
