Robin and Danny have lived on Lake George for several years. Their basement has a bedroom, a bath and large area for relaxing and watching TV. This area is used mostly when they have a crowd of folks.
As I have mentioned before, Robin has her grandchildren call her Mamie. She has been keeping her two oldest grandsons, Crosby, who is 3 years old and Alder, who is almost 2 years old. These two little boys can keep a person very busy, as you have noticed from previous articles about the boys.
Mamie had gotten Alder to sleep and carried him to the bedroom. She stayed with him for a few minutes to be sure that he stayed asleep.
She closed the bedroom door and went to check on Crosby. She called for him, but he didn’t answer. So, she started to look for him. She checked the playroom and he was not there. She called for him again, and no answer. She looked in the bathroom and he was not there. She went into the kitchen and living room area and he was not there. She began to be very anxious and didn’t know what to do.
She shouted out, “CROSBY, WHERE ARE YOU?’’
She then heard a knock on the basement door and a little voice say, “Here I am Mamie.”
She quickly took the chain off the top of the door, and there he stood.
She picked him up and hugged him tightly and said, “You scared me.”
She does not know how he was able to squeeze through that little crack between the door and the wall with the little chain attached. I think they will have to get another type of lock.
