Obituary: Barbara “Bobbie” Barnes McGraw

Barbara “Bobbie” Barnes McGraw, 85, of Dunedin, Florida passed away Friday, July 10, 2020.

She was born July 6, 1935, in Nashville, Tennessee, daughter of Ethel and John Barnes.  She was one of three siblings.  On August 8, 1953 she married Richard A. McGraw of Portsmouth, Ohio.

Mrs. McGraw received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts as an Education Specialist from the University of South Florida.  She taught Business Education for 29 years at Pinellas County Schools in the Tampa Bay area and after retirement at St. Petersburg College in Clearwater, Florida.

Bobbie will be remembered as a loving mom, grandma, and special friend to many. She was kind, patient, funny, and loved with all her heart.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law Steve and Carissa McGraw, John and Jennifer McGraw of Hanceville, Alabama, and Laura Rogers of Rome, Georgia; grandchildren Rick McGraw of Tennessee, Brittany and Knicole McGraw of Dunedin, Florida, Dillon, Chloe and Breena McGraw of Atlanta, Georgia, Sarah McGraw of Rome, Georgia and Amelia McGraw.

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard; son Brian McGraw; her brothers Richard and Larry; and her parents.

A memorial service will be held in Dunedin, Florida at a later date.
