Gwen Hampton of Birmingham, AL, 71, passed away peacefully Friday, July 3, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Terry Hampton, Sr.; her mother Ruth Baggett, and her sister Jo Carole Baggett.
She is survived by her daughter and two sons Susan Thompson Rollan (grandchildren Lauren Crandall, Stephen Thompson, and Anna Rollan), James Terry Hampton, Jr. (daughter-in-law Kerstin; grandsons Brandon, Matthew, and Jacob), and Daniel Hampton (daughter-in-law Kumi). She is also survived by her brother Leo Baggett and two sisters Kathleen Cottingham (nieces Ann and Lynn) and Jeanne Parr (nephews Steve, Darrell, and Craig).
The quality Gwen’s friends and family will remember the most about her is her unending kindness and generosity to others, including total strangers. She never hesitated to make sacrifices to help those in need.
Viewing is at Moss Service Funeral Home in Cullman, AL Wednesday, July 8 from 5-8 p.m. Celebration of Life services will be held graveside at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Baileyton, AL Thursday, July 9 at 2 p.m.
