Eva Jo Bell, at 90 years young, went running into the arms of Jesus June 24, 2020. We know she saw her King face to face and heard the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” She was surrounded her last days by her son and three granddaughters. She was born Dec. 29, 1929, to the late Earle and Mattie McCullar. She was blessed with a large and loving family.
Eva Jo loved, treasured and embraced her family well and her servant heart served tirelessly, as her hands were never idle. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. To know her was to love her and be fed by her. She boldly spoke the word of God and declared her life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32, “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Eva Jo was the wife of the late Alvin Bell and the mother of the late Alvin Frances Bell, Jr. and Jesse Joe Bell.
She is survived by their son Frankie Bell (Julie Bell) and granddaughters Christy Rigdon (Terry Rigdon), Carrie Kelly, and Kelly Medlin. She was blessed with six great-grandchildren: Jordan Rigdon, Blake Rigdon, Elijah Rigdon, Emily Kelly, Abagail Kelly, and Bailey Medlin.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.
