Julia Janet McCain, 88, passed away June 14, 2020 in Birmingham, Alabama.
Jan was born in Fairview, Alabama in Cullman County April 30, 1932 and was a graduate of Fairview High School.
Jan retired from BellSouth after many years’ service and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Hoover, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents Owen and Carrie McCain and is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Joan and Ray Prichard. Aunt Jan is also survived by her nieces and nephews Mike Prichard, Danny Prichard, and Julie Adams; and great-nieces and great-nephews Ashley Prichard, Bradley Prichard, Carley Prichard, Zachary Adams, and Sumner Compher.
Graveside services will be held at First Baptist Church of Fairview in Fairview, Alabama Saturday, June 27, 2020 at noon.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made in Jan’s name to the First Baptist Church of Hoover, Alabama. The family also wishes to express its gratitude to the staff at Diversicare of Riverchase.
