“Southern Man” Gregory Ray “Gregg” Cummings, 56, of Haleyville passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Nov. 9, 1963 to Billy Ray and Dorothy Lee Dooley-Cummings. Gregg was a retired truck driver.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 6-9 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Thornhill Cemetery. Brother Jeff Whitten will officiate.
Gregg is survived by his wife Mary Brock; sons Jayson Butler, Justin (Jennifer) Butler, and Brandon Cummings; sister Annette (Royce) Hulsey; brothers Rick and Byron “Tank” Cummings; grandchildren Maddie and Lane Butler; special friends Sharon Hendrix, Jimmy Martin, and Tilman Bray; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Billy Ray and Dorothy Lee Cummings; uncle Pat Dooley; and his grandparents.
