Randy Wayne Pope, Jr. of Cullman, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the age of 28.
Wayne attended Parkside Elementary School and Fairview High School. He loved the Lord and was a faithful in serving Him at Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend. He had a variety of interests and hobbies including Alabama Football, fishing, anything outdoors including mowing yards, going to the beach and country music. He loved animals and would take in and help any stray he could. He was employed with Clayton Homes.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Lynard and Susie Gilbert; grandmother Gloria Pope; brother Adam Pope; and sister Emma Pope.
Wayne is survived by his mother and step-father Natasha and Kendall Wood; father Randy W. Pope, Sr.; step-mother Tammy Pope; brothers Aidan Pope, Michael Gilbert and fiancé’ Brianna Davis, Stone Gilbert and Braxton Wood; sister Andrea Rimas and husband Mark; grandparents Davy Gilbert, Nancy and Jimmy Batey, Olen and Gale Pope and Dale and Peggy Waldrep; a niece and nephew; and a host of extended family and friends.
His family will receive friends at Moss Service Funeral Home Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from 5-8 p.m. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be in the chapel of Moss Service Funeral Home Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 11 a.m. with burial to immediately follow at Holly Pond Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Gilbert, Stone Gilbert, Aidan Pope, Blane Pope, Anthony Corrick, Zachary Pope, Jasper Bridges and Derek Hollis.
