WEST POINT, Ala. – Grave’s General Store & Diner in West Point will host a cruise-in this Saturday night, June 6, beginning at 5 p.m.

Building owner Michelle Wisner, who is helping organize the event, said she hopes the cruise-in will “help people try to get back to normal,” continuing, “Car, truck, motorcycle, vintage, rat rod, anything. If you just want to come by and grab a burger and look at the vehicles, that’s fine, too.”

Tim and Lori Graves, owners of the diner, will have hamburgers, hotdogs, shaved ice, Purity ice cream, milkshakes and homemade lemonade available.

Graves General Store & Diner is set up for at least 100 vehicles.

“We will do like they do down at Jack’s in Dodge City,” said Wisner. “Come in, eat, hang around, and if you wanna cruise West Point, we’ll cruise West Point. We’re just trying to bring some sense of normalcy back to life.”

The Graves and Wisner said they hope to make this a monthly event.

Graves General Store & Diner is located 11055 Alabama Highway 157 in West Point. In case of heavy rain, the event will be rescheduled. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/Graves-General-Store-Diner-109709320565211/.
