The Cullman Bearcats lost to Tuscaloosa Count High, 19-6. The lone Cullman score was set up by Marion Woodall, who blocked a punt. Keller scored the touchdown. Fred Knight made several big plays. The injury bug severely limited Cullman’s performance.

Rock Springs News
School started at Rock Springs on Monday with Professor Lowery, Waldo Self, Mrs. Mae Winn and Mrs. Lattie Sherot as teachers.
Mrs. Emma Wilson is improving nicely.
Mr. and Mrs. Fayette Smith were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Williams, recently.
Miss Viva Brooks called on Mrs. Mattie Crawford and Mrs. Richard Mount on Tuesday afternoon.
Misses Dalphene and Irene Yates spent Monday night with their brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Yates.
Mr. Hoyt Neal spent Sunday night with Mr. Odell Smith.
Mrs. Addie Mullis, of Birmingham, returned home Saturday, after spending a few days with relatives around Rock Springs and Blountsville.

A wedding of much surprise was that of Mr. Foster Bentley to Miss Genice Brown. Wishing for them much success.
Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Murphree were the Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Murphree, of Eva.
Mrs. Walt Griffin spent Saturday night with Mrs. Etta Smith.
Mrs. Loe Livingston, of Eva, was the Saturday and Sunday guest of Mrs. Alter Brown and family.
Mrs. Sinnie Harden spent Friday night and Saturday with Mrs. Ida Holmes.
On October 18, 1937 at 5:30, Mr. Smith Harris, who was 55 years, five months and four days old, died at his home at Berlin.
Mr. Harris was married to Miss Nora Peek, 36 years ago. He is survived by his wife, eleven children and eleven grandchildren.
Thirty-four years ago he was converted to the Missionary Baptist faith, but never joined the church.
The funeral held at Mount Carmel on Wednesday, October 20, at 2:00 p.m. was conducted by Reverend E.M. Dickerson, assisted by Reverend Hubert. Drinkard directed.
