CULLMAN, Ala. – The St. Paul’s Lutheran School Alumni & Friends Dinner and School Auction that was originally scheduled for April 18 at Terri Pines has been rescheduled to Saturday, Aug. 1. All previous ticket and table purchases will be honored, and tickets are still available.

St. Paul’s Director for Creative Services Emily Trahan told The Tribune, “The school auction is a staple fundraiser for St. Paul’s. I’m very excited about joining it with our alumni event. So many people received a strong foundation at St. Paul’s that set them up for success later in life. What a great night to raise money for the school and reflect on our past with former students and teachers and affect the present by raising money for the continued success of the school.”

St. Paul’s issued this statement:

Debuting at the Alumni Dinner will be the presentation of the Impact Award. In choosing the first recipient of this award, several things were considered, including years of service, leadership, and character. We are honored to announce our first Impact Award recipient is Fred Heinze. Mr. Heinze retired in 2012 from St. Paul’s Lutheran School after many decades of teaching. He continues to use his talents to serve the school as the organist for Wednesday morning chapel services.

We continue to monitor and follow guidelines as put forth by our state and local governments in regards to Covid-19.

Follow the St. Paul’s Lutheran School – Cullman Facebook page for sneak peeks at items up for auction. St. Paul’s wishes to thank and recognize the support of local businesses in our community that have donated to this event. They are Shirley Quattlebaum – State Farm, Cullman-Jefferson Gas, Mitch Smith Chevrolet, Merchants Bank, and Virgil B. Fowler Insurance.

St. Paul’s Principal Annette Creest told The Tribune, “St. Paul’s Lutheran school has been offering a Christian education to students in Cullman County for 65 years. The school auction is a vital part of our support for the school. The funds from the auction help to provide the students and teachers with effective materials needed for a quality education. We need the support of the community and the school families to make the auction a success.”

Tickets for the dinner and auction are available in the church and school offices for $25. St. Paul’s is located at 513 Fourth Ave. SE in Cullman, church office phone 256-734-3575. Reach the school directly at 256-734-6580.
