Mrs. J.E. Pierce and son, Leroy of Cullman, spent the week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Nesmith, at Panama.
The 1933 Home Economics Club at Cullman High School includes: Mildred White, Grace Wonderlich, Almedia Newman, Elizabeth Glasscock, Mary Louise Wonderlich, Margaret Heitmiller, Atha McMurray, Carolyn Graham, Ruth Swafford, Mullice Phillips, Sarah Robinson, Wynelle Tubbs, Essie Tubbs, Elenor Teague, Allyne Dunn, Doris Turner, Ruth Kaple, Gervis Silney, Lorene Peinhardt, Oletus Holmes, Jeanette Wells, Trischel Couch, Sibyl Eddleman, Jo Keyes, Mona Hanvey and Lea Carroll.
Mr. and Mrs. John Burns spent Saturday night with Mr. and Mrs. Claud Weeks at Hopewell.
Louis Vogel celebrated his eighteenth birthday on October 12. There were eighteen guests for dinner. Dancing was enjoyed by all present.
Miss Kathryn Berry and Edgar Ziegler were married on Saturday afternoon at the Mount Vernon Methodist Church.
On October 20, 1933 Barney Callen, 32, was married to Maline Sinyard, 30.
Most of Cullman County’s cotton crop has been picked.
Miss Inez Baker, of Steppville, spent Saturday night with Misses Ruby and Mildred Travis.
Two new members to the Honor Society were added at Cullman High School last week. They are Violet Horton and Raymond Soxara. At present there are only five members of the honor society, namely, Gladys Conont, Elsa Kempson, Kathleen Calvert, Violet Horton and Raymond Soxara.

John Whisenhunt, who owns the Walt Clark Farm at Good Hope brought a four feet long sweet potato by the Tribune office this week.
A letter has arrived to Mr. and Mrs. R.H. Morris, of Route Two, Vinemont, from their son, Hobby, who is a prisoner of war in Korea.
A son, Thomas Authur, has been born to F.D. and Eleanor Bailey Robinson on October 25 in Tuscaloosa.
Pretty, eight-year-old Charlotte Louvorn was fatally injured when she was hit by an automobile on Sunday morning as she left McElroy Methodist Church in Birmingham. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Louvorn. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John Louvorn, of Holly Pond and Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Lindsey, of Cullman. Two brothers, Max Louvorn and Harold Louvorn, of Fort Jackson, South Carolina survive their sister.
Gerald Sandlin, age seven, was seriously injured earlier this week when he was hit by an automobile near his home at Phelan. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Sandlin.
