Donald Gene Jenkins, 80, of Blountsville passed away May 1, 2020. He was born Jan. 16, 1940 in Gadsden, Alabama to Leonard and Lona Mae Holmes Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins was a member of Holly Pond First Baptist Church. He was a machinist by trade, working for Americold, and he also served our country honorable in the United States Army.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Lona Mae Jenkins; five sisters; and three brothers.
He is survived by his daughter Donna Jenkins Walker and her husband Russell; granddaughter Maegan Walker and her husband Bruce Russell; grandson Eric Walker and his wife Katie; two great-granddaughters Alexis Walker and Illa Russell; and a sister Joan Toyer and her husband William.
Due to the restrictions in place concerning COVID-19, the family will lay Mr. Jenkins to rest in a private service held at New Hope #2 Cemetery.
