CULLMAN, Ala. – Hygenix CSR in Cullman has been giving back to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic by offering free playground sanitation to municipalities, schools and churches. Owner Kenny Fisher and employee Isaac Holmes were hard at work Friday morning cleaning the playgrounds at Welti and Holly Pond. Hygenix got some help when B&B Petroleum offered to donate the fuel required for the jobs.
Fisher explained, “Tithing is also 10% of your time. If everyone spent 2 1/2 hours a day helping others, the world would be a much better place.”
Fisher began offering to clean and sanitize playground equipment at no charge when the coronavirus closures began. As of Friday May 1, all of the Cullman County Schools playgrounds have been sanitized, as well as playgrounds in Garden City and at St. John’s Church in Cullman.
Fisher said he was born and raised in Cullman and is happy to be in a position where he can give back and help during the crisis.
Hygenix CSR will continue to offer its services to help get playgrounds ready for when restrictions are lifted.
