HANCEVILLE, ALA. – Wallace State men’s golf sophomore Carter Goodwin continues to rack up individual honors. Goodwin was named a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I PING Honorable Mention All-American this week by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), a week after being named to the NJCAA Division I PING All-District IV Team by GCAA.
Goodwin is the 23rd NJCAA All-American in the program’s rich history.
Goodwin, a Spain Park graduate, tallied seven Top 10 finishes during his Wallace State career, capping it with a fifth-place finish at the Coastal Alabama Invitational in February. He was an All-Tournament selection in the inaugural Dan York Memorial Tournament last September, placing third overall.
Goodwin, who has signed to golf at Appalachian State next season, was among the golfers to help Wallace State finish ninth nationally last spring at the NJCAA Division I National Championships.
