Blair Joseph Davis was born in Crane Hill, Alabama Dec. 23, 1942. He died April 19, 2020 in Birmingham, Alabama.
Blair was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Mary Davis; siblings Harlon, Cosmer, Randall, Dodge, Blan, Ninave, and Ellowee; and his beloved son Jonathan.
Blair is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Carolyn Davis; his daughter Jessica Davis; his sister Cathy Davis; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.
Blair worked at Americold for 32 years, served in the United States Army for two years as an O.R. tech, and was a poultry farmer until his retirement. He was deacon, song director, and Sunday school teacher at Ryan’s Creek Baptist Church. He was deacon and Sunday school teacher at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church and also served on the Neighborhood Community Watch. Blair was a loving husband, father, dedicated Christian, avid hunter, gardener, and horseman and will be greatly missed.
A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2020 with Rev. Butch Cleghorn officiating.
