John Carlton Abbott, 80, of Houston entered into rest Monday, April 13, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham.
Carlton was born Dec. 28, 1939 in Winston County, Alabama to Alvin and Winnie Hill Abbott.
As per State and Federal guidelines, a private service will be held. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill No. 1 Cemetery in Houston.
Carlton is survived by his wife Nadine Abbott; sons Tim Abbott and David Abbott; grandsons Matt Abbott and his wife Natalie, Joseph Abbott and his wife Amanda; granddaughter Morgan Martin and her husband Steven; and great-granddaughters Taylor Porter, Piper Abbott and Ava Abbott.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Patty Boyd; grandson Josh Abbott; and brothers Larry Abbott and Orville Abbott.
