CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman City Council Public Works committee chairman Johnny Cook announced at Monday’s council meeting that the City has temporarily suspended its recycling program due to the closure of its previously used service provider.
Cook told the council and online viewers, “Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the drop-off location where we were taking all our recycled materials has closed. It has stopped taking materials. Therefore, for a time period undesignated at this time, the City’s going to temporarily discontinue our recycling program.
“We look forward to restarting the recycling program as soon as possible, as soon as we get a place that’ll receive our recycling materials.”
