Free COVID-19 testing at Cullman Co. Health Department beginning April 7

CULLMAN, Ala. – According to the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH), COVID-19 testing will begin next Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at the Cullman County Health Department.  To be tested, you have to be symptomatic and the ADPH recommends a physician referral. 

What:  COVID-19 Testing

Where:  Cullman County Health Department / 601 Logan Ave. SW, Cullman, AL  35055

When:  Tuesday / Thursday (starts April 7, 2020 – as long as needed)

Time:  1-3:30 p.m.

  • Referral from physician recommended

Cost:  No charge

Test Results:  24-72 hours

Who will be tested:

  • The patient is symptomatic with at minimum (measured or subjective fever OR cough OR shortness of breath, and
  • The patient is hospitalized, or
  • The patient is immunocompromised or has co-morbidities, or
  • The patient age 65 years or older, or
  • The patient is a healthcare worker, or
  • The patient is associated with a long-term healthcare facility
