CULLMAN, Ala. – Vascular surgeon Michael Miller, MD has joined Cullman Regional Medical Group. He will be providing care to patients in the Cullman Regional Medical Group Surgical Arts location, located at 1930 Alabama Highway 157.
Miller will provide care for the following conditions:
- Peripheral artery disease
- Atherosclerosis
- Carotid artery disease
- Lower extremity disease
- Varicose veins & spider veins
- Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA)
- Renal artery stenosis
- Critical limb ischemia
- Thoracic aortic aneurysm (TAA)
- Blood clots
A native of Macon, Georgia, Miller is a graduate of Mercer University and completed medical school at Mercer University School of Medicine. He completed his post-doctoral training in general surgery at Keesler Medical Center, Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi and completed his vascular surgery fellowship at University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona.
Miller retired from the United Sates Air Force in August 2014. He served as a vascular surgeon during two tours of duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom and two tours of duty in Operation Enduring Freedom before he served as chief vascular surgeon for nine years at Eglin Air Force Base – Air Force Medical Service on the Florida panhandle. Since his retirement from active duty, Miller has been practicing in south Alabama and the Florida panhandle. He and his wife are excited to move to Cullman to be closer to kids and grandkids in Alabama.
Miller is passionate about improving the overall quality of life of his patients and working with local primary care providers on the appropriate diagnosis and treatment of peripheral circulation issues of their patients.
Miller resides in Cullman and enjoys riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, flying planes and woodworking in his free time.
