Leon Gerald Tyree, 82, of Cullman passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2020.
Leon was born May, 8, 1937 in Arley, Alabama to Ollie and Annie Bell Tyree.
Leon was a hardworking man and he loved helping family and others. He was a member of Addison First Baptist Church for 17 years. Leon loved his church and his church family.
Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 10, 2020 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where the service will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Brother Samuel Tucker and Brother Mark Kimbrell will officiate.
He is survived by his sons Ricky (Lafonda) Tyree, Shawn Tyree, Lonnie Tyree, and Daniel (Holly) Rosen; daughter Sonya Pellicer; grandchildren Brandie (Matt) Ward, Tandy (Erin) Hoover, Kendra Tyree, Josh (Tasha) Tyree, Travis (Paige) Tyree, Corey McKinna, Nathan (Nicole) Tyree, Jason Pellicer, Julieanna Pellicer, Sarah Rosen, Ben (Rebecca) Rosen, and Elizabeth (Cameron) Carlisle; sisters Jewel (Harvey) Jackson and Millie Starnes; brother Leroy (Barbara) Tyree; brother-in-law Howell White; sister-in-law Wanda Tyree; and 13 great-grandchildren and three on the way.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jewell Tyree; daughter Anna McKinna and her husband Wayne McKinna; parents Ollie and Annie Bell Tyree; sisters Bertie Bell Tyree, Cora Gaines, and Claudine White; and brothers Coy Tyree and Pug Tyree.
