HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Last weekend was another success for Cullman Gymnastics & Cheer Academy’s Xtreme Allstars. After a strong showing at the JAMfest Bam JAM at the BJCC Jan. 25in which two of their squads took home first place, the Allstars made the trip to Huntsville’s Von Braun Center last Saturday for this year’s Victory Valentine Cheer Competition and swept the top prizes. The Mini Majesties, Empresses and Queens all earned first place finishes in their respective divisions and the Tiny Tiaras went home with a rating of Excellent.

Allstars Head Coach Ashley Wilbanks is proud of the way each team performed and credits the theme for last weekend’s competition for helping push them over the top.

“Every competition we try to come up with a theme for the girls to hold on to and this time we used a scripture and they all put it in their shoes and stood on the word. It was Luke 18:27 and it says, “Jesus replied, what is impossible with man is possible with God.”. As a result of that firm foundation for them to stand on, we had a clean sweep,” Wilbanks said. “All our teams were grand champions at their level and each team was offered a full paid bid to the Emerald Coast Finals.”

The Xtreme Allstars will be back on the road to compete at the Cheersport Nationals Feb. 15 and 16 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
