CULLMAN, Ala. – Applications are being accepted now for the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Citizens’ Academy spring 2020 session.
The academy is a nine-week course and is free to the public; however, class size is limited.
The spring session will begin Tuesday, Feb. 18. Classes will meet Tuesday evenings from 6-9 p.m.
Academy students will learn about virtually every aspect of the role of the CCSO, including patrol, administration, dispatch, communications, criminal law, SWAT, crime scene investigation, jail operations and more. Activities will include a SWAT team demonstration, tour of the Cullman County Detention Center, a morning at the shooting range, ride-alongs with deputies and many classroom speakers.
