Linda Susan Lane, 71, of Arley entered into rest Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Lane was born Aug. 12, 1948 in Double Springs, Alabama. Linda was very artistic and enjoyed painting, making paper mâché figures (including an airplane), crocheting, cross stitching, making costumes, murals, cardboard stage scenes and backgrounds and directing Vacation Bible School. She was very active in Meek Baptist Church and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019 from 1-2 p.m. at Meek Baptist Church with service to follow at 2 p.m. Brother Etsel Riddle will officiate. Burial will follow in Meek Baptist Cemetery.
Linda is survived by her husband Dana Lane; mother Louise Baxley; sons Robbie (Misti) Lane and David (Donna) Lane; sisters Vickie (Gale) Johnson and Debbie (O’Neal) Talley; grandchildren Justin Lane, Hunter Lane, Eric Coker and Ashley (Adam) Stacks; great-grandchildren Layken Stacks and Ethan Coker; mother-in-law Rowena Lane; brother-in-law Kerry (Carol) Lane; life-long best friend Glenda Mayo and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Claude Brown; brother Frank Brown; stepfather Cecil Baxley and father-in-law Pete Lane.
