Martha Gail Bates joined her heavenly family Dec. 5, 2019.
Born April 17, 1952, Gail will be remembered for having a heart of gold. She was always willing to lend a hand to anyone and was a true servant who loved the Lord and her church.
Gail is preceded in death by her husband Edward “Red” Bates; parents Verbon and Louise Hamby; and brothers Donald Hamby and Milford Hamby.
Survivors include her sons Tony (Sarah) Bates and Lee (Stacy) Bates; sister Charlotte (Sam) Bates; brothers Bud Hamby and Danny (Samantha) Hamby; and grandchildren Daniel Bates, Abby Bates, Dracen Bates and Devin Bates. She is also survived by many relatives and friends whom she loved dearly.
Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 7 from 5:30-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
